Laneway Pattern

I started this art piece by working with the pattern of the lane ways map. I wanted to create an idea that could reflect my observations of the lane at night. In that way I could work with colours and their reflections and bring an atmosphere of a pleasurable exploration and also a touch of mystery. I gave depth with perspective bringing the sense of mystery that I mentioned before. My intention was to paint the natural road and pavement surfaces with light during the day, and at night, paint with the street lamps to reveal the architecture of the buildings.
