Concept for consideration

My attention is focused on the ideas and interpretation of Lyonel and Andreas Feininger works. Lyonel Feininger's paintings have some cubist characteristics that I was drawn to. I likened his interpretation of colour and shade in paintings. Lyonel’s son Andreas photographed, pioneering techniques, using images through a telephoto lens. What attracted me to both artists' work, was the feeling produced by their use of light and refraction, therefore it was expressed either with paint or with a photographic process. Their interpretation of the beauty they saw is evident in the work that inspired me.
